Coronation Celebrations!

As we are all aware, next month is the coronation of King Charles III. We will, of course, be having some celebrations in school.

Crowns, cakes and parties! Friday 5th May
On the Friday 5th May we will have our Coronation celebrations in school. All pupils are invited to make a Crown or wear a tiara for the day and dress in red, white and blue. The pupils will engage themselves in coronation activities and an afternoon tea party where there will of course be plenty of cake!

Here is some inspiration to get your creativity started!

Part of the King’s celebrations have a volunteering theme with one of the days over the weekend being dedicated to “The Big Help Out”.
The Big Help Out will highlight the positive impact volunteering has on communities across the nation. In tribute to His Majesty The King's public service, The Big Help Out will encourage people to try volunteering for themselves and join the work being undertaken to support their local areas. The aim of The Big Help Out is to use volunteering to bring communities together and create a lasting volunteering legacy from the Coronation Weekend.

Every year group at Broadford is going to complete a volunteering project over the next half term.
There may be visits to the care home, litter picking within the local community or planting some plants to enhance our environment. If you have any ideas for volunteering projects you would like to see our pupils involved in or would like to get involved yourself, please comment on this post.

Watch out to see what our amazing pupils get up to over the next few weeks to make our fabulous local community a better place for us all.
