Eid Day - Monday 24th April, 2023

The holy month of Ramadan is slowly coming to an end and Muslims all around the world will be celebrating Eid this week (depending on the sighting of the moon). At Broadford Primary School, we will be celebrating Eid in school on Monday 24th April, 2023. On this day, we are asking children to:

- Come to school wearing colourful clothes (sparkly, full of sequins, beautiful patterns).

- Children can bring 50p or £1 per family to to go towards our annual fundraising total. .

This is a great opportunity to make children aware of this exciting Muslim festival and encourage them to recognise the occasion in school. This will definitely improve their understanding of different cultures, they will be able to celebrate diversity and even learn something new.

If you celebrate Eid at home, it would be wonderful for your child to share their knowledge of this celebration with their peers and the teachers will ensure that they have the opportunity to do so.

We are very excited to see all the fun activities that are going to take place and we cannot wait to share this with you.
