Broadford Netball Triumph

This week Broadford netball team had a fantastic win against St Ursula's Primary. Both schools played extremely well and it was a nail biting finish! With hard work, reciprocity and resilience, Broadford produced a performance to be extremely proud of - their best match so far this year! Some fantastic shooting from Isaac Wright (Redwood) helped us successfully score 6 goals. Some excellent defending from Michael (Larch) and Deborah (Redwood) helped us prevent St Ursula's from scoring more goals and some super passing down the court from Sienna (Maple) and Leo (Redwood) helped us travel in the right direction. All in all, it was a great performance from the children and as a result of this excellent win, Broadford are the winners of the league!

Walk on Wednesday

We want as many pupils as possible to walk to school. If you have to drive or get the bus to school could you park further away and walk or get off the bus a few stops before your normal bus stop. The walk to school is the perfect opportunity for some quality family time or a good chat with friends helping to develop strong and happy relationships. You could play a game of ‘I spy’ on your journey. Walkers will be given a special WoW collectable badge!

Pupils who walk will be rewarded (and refuelled with) a walkers' breakfast. So if you walk to school, you will get a delicious treat when you arrive so that you are ready to learn when you get to your classroom.

We are aiming to increase the amount of children who walk into school on a regular basis so take part and receive your badge and breakfast on Wednesday 8th February!

School Uniform

You will all have received the information regarding the new arrangements for purchasing uniform. We have listened to feedback from our parent community over recent months and taken this on board to make changes to the way in which parents purchase school uniform for pupils. As you are all aware Broadford is a school that has grown considerably over the past 5 years, from approximately 320 pupils to 542 at present.  Your feedback and the increased orders has lead us to change the supplier and we now have arrangements in place with a local company to look after all of your requirements. I am sure you will agree with us that this will meet your needs more effectively. The new supplier, Premier Schoolwear, have changing room facilities, situated close to the school, ample parking space and will always be open during holiday times and on a Saturday. We will be arranging a voucher system for those families who are eligible for yearly free school uniform.  Please see Mrs Taylor or Mrs Clements at the office if you require any further information.
