Dear Parents and Carers,
Reception & Nursery
It is really pleasing to see how well our reception children have settled in their first week at Broadford. They are only attending for half a day these first 2 weeks -but so far so good! We hope that all pupils, parents and families feel very welcome here at Broadford.
Our nursery children have been to stay and play sessions where they have had the opportunity to get to know the practitioners in our nursery setting in preparation for their start in the near future. We are looking forward to them attending everyday very soon and we hope that they are looking forward to this as well.

Havering Catering Services
Week beginning 18th September is week 1 on the Havering Catering Services menu. The price of a meal at lunchtime is £2.20.
School Dinners & sQuid
Please be reminded that KS2 pupils are not eligible for free school meals. When pupils move into year 3 you are required to pay for the children’s dinners unless you qualify for free school meals, in which case you need to put in an application to:
Student Finance, The Liberty Centre, Romford, RM1 3RL. Tele no. 01708 433929/53,
Broadford Primary School is now a cashless school. All dinners, breakfast club and trips need to be paid for through the sQuid system.
Parents/Carers should register, for each child and deposit the money to pay for lunch and trips via the online system. Everyone must register for an account even if your child receives a free school meal. If you have difficulties setting up or accessing your account Mrs Taylor and Mrs West in the office are more than happy to help you.
Uniform
Thank you for the effort you put into your children’s appearance these past two weeks. It is wonderful sea of Broadford blue jumpers walking through the corridors everyday. All of the children seem to be walking that little bit taller and feeling very proud as they have started the new academic year. With the smart shoes, fabulous haircuts and bright smiles it has been a great start to the term!
