Weekly Newsletter - Friday 12th July, 2019

Headteacher: Mrs L Nicholls

Dear Parents and Carers,

Sports Afternoon
A big thank you to all parents and carers who attended our sports afternoons last week and this week. The sun was shining and a good time was had by all and there was a wonderful sense of sportsmanships from all of the participants. Thank you also to the staff for organising and preparing the pupils for the event.

Start and End of Day Procedures
A big thank you to all parents and carers this week for your co-operation and support with the start and end of day procedures. There have been a few teething problems but it is lovely to have more space around the school to collect children at the end of the day.

On Wednesday 17th pupils will have the opportunity to spend the day with their new teachers in their new classrooms. After school year 6 will be staying for their leavers party in school and we look forward to welcoming parents and carers at 6.00 pm for the leavers ceremony.
On Thursday, pupils who have been studying LAMDA will be taking their exams while the other pupils will be walking for life to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Reception welcome all parents and carers for their end of year picnic. Our local librarian will be visiting to give out information about the library services summer reading challenge.
On Friday morning, the winning house will be enjoying their house point reward for the term. At 10 am we have the long awaited Broadford’s Got Talent and in the afternoon we will be handing out our prestigious end of year awards.
School finishes at 3.00 pm for the summer holidays, pupils return for the autumn term on Thursday 5th September.

Reports and Parents Evening
Your child’s end of year report and end of key stage assessment results (EYFS, year 2 and Year 6) will be sent home today. If you would like to discuss the report with your child’s class teacher then please sign up for an appointment on the timetable by the classroom door. In the report envelope, Teachers will be available from 3.30 - 6.00pm on Monday 15th July. There is a feedback form which we would ask all parents to complete and send back to school by the end of the term. We warmly welcome your feedback and would love to hear if there is anything you feel we could improve. Many thanks.
