Expansion Update:

You will have seen that the old building is still standing. This is because the funding for the rebuilding will now be coming from the Education Funding Agency rather than Havering Council. Unfortunately they were not able to get the contractors on site in time and we will now wait for the next suitable period before proceeding with the work. In the meantime it is likely that Broadford will be mentioned in a Havering Council report in October with a view to formally moving forward an expansion to three forms of entry. This would involve a consultation with parents, Governors, residents and staff, most likely starting after the October half term. We will keep you updated on this situation.

In the meantime we are delighted to welcome thirty new pupils into Year 3, who now have three classes: Willow, Birch and Ash. This is a bulge group of pupils as there has been high demand for this age group in the local area and across Havering. Temporarily we have moved Year 4 out to the classrooms on the playground. We have every hope that two brand new permanent classrooms will be completed by the end of the Spring term on our Junior wing so that Hazel and Sequoia can move back into the main building for the Summer.
