Dear Parents and Carers,
Dairy Dates - Monday 5th July - Friday 9th July
Next week on Monday year 1 pupils will be participating in a skipping workshop in school.
Nursery pupils will be dressing as pirates on Tuesday and some pupils in years 4&5 will be continuing with their LAMDA lessons.
Please do not forget that school finishes at 1.00pm on Wednesday except for those pupils who stay until 3.00pm due to working parents.
On Wednesday evening we will be virtually welcoming our new reception parents to Broadford.
To finish the week on Friday, some of our year 6 pupils will be enjoying a cycling session with our cycle instructor Phil Mylea.
It is wonderful to be able to get some of our enrichment activities up and running again. Please be assured that all of these activities are taking place within bubbles according to the current guidelines.
Wild World Heroes, Summer Reading Challenge 2021
The Reading Agency and libraries are excited to introduce Wild World Heroes, Summer Reading Challenge 2021; a celebration of nature and action for the environment, in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund UK.
During the summer holidays children aged 4-11 can sign up at their local Havering library from 10th July, then read any six library books of their choice to collect special stickers and rewards along the way – all for FREE. This year only two library visits are needed, one to pick up a pack and a second to return a completed Book Review sheet in order to receive a medal and certificate. Parents and carers will be discussing books and giving out stickers to their children.
Visit https://www.havering.gov.uk/events/20039/libraries for our free Summer events.
Year 5 Transfer to Secondary School
Your child will be starting Secondary School in September 2022. The brochure and video can be found via the Havering School Admissions website www.havering.gov.uk/admissions/secondary. You will also find information on this website regarding the Secondary School open events which take place during September and October 2021.
You can apply for a Secondary School place between 01 September and 31 October 2021.
