Dear Parents and Carers,
Charity Obstacle Run in Aid of The Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund
Next week all children will be taking part in a large-scale obstacle run to raise money for the Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund. If you have been able to collect sponsorship money please return to school on the day of your child's sponsored event in a named envelope with the sponsorship form. Pupils can wear their school PE kit on the day of their event.
The timetable for the events are below.
This event will be covered via all of our social media channels.
Donations Please
We are running very low on spare clothes in early years and key stage one. We always have a supply of spare clothes in case any of our younger pupils need to change their clothes throughout the day. If you have any items that your children have grown out of and you are willing to donate we would very much appreciate your donations. We are in particular need of socks, underwear, school t-shirts. If you have any items that we could reuse please bring them to the office in a plastic bag. Thank you as always for your cooperation.
Wild World Heroes, Summer Reading Challenge 2021
The Reading Agency and libraries are excited to introduce Wild World Heroes, Summer Reading Challenge 2021; a celebration of nature and action for the environment, in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund UK.
During the summer holidays children aged 4-11 can sign up at their local Havering library from 10th July, then read any six library books of their choice to collect special stickers and rewards along the way – all for FREE. This year only two library visits are needed, one to pick up a pack and a second to return a completed Book Review sheet in order to receive a medal and certificate. Parents and carers will be discussing books and giving out stickers to their children.
Visit https://www.havering.gov.uk/events/20039/libraries for our free Summer events.
Year 5 Transfer to Secondary School
Your child will be starting Secondary School in September 2022. The brochure and video can be found via the Havering School Admissions website www.havering.gov.uk/admissions/secondary. You will also find information on this website regarding the Secondary School open events which take place during September and October 2021.
You can apply for a Secondary School place between 01 September and 31 October 2021.
