On Tuesday, the children in Reception and KS1 had the most amazing time when the author Natalie Newman came to our school to read her newly published book, Lark the Shark.
Everyone was super excited to meet an author and to listen to the story. After story time, the children were reflective and resourceful in making links, identifying key features and showing imagination when they had the opportunity to ask Natalie lots of questions about her book.
Natalie had a fantastic time at our school and said how proud you should all be of your children as they sat so beautifully and listened carefully. She was also very impressed with the well thought out questions that the children asked her.
Natalie has very kindly donated a signed copy of her book to the school library for the children to be able to enjoy during their reading for pleasure sessions.
Danni-Ella - 'Did you draw the pictures for the story?'
Roze - 'I like the bit where the shark picks up the rubbish'
Jefflyn - 'How long did it take you to write the book?'
