Kirsti Preston's Mountain Charity Mountain Climb
Today, Kirsti Preston (a parent of a child at Broadford Primary School) set off to Africa to climb Kilimanjaro with the founders of The Genies Wish Charity.
They are on target to raise £60,000 between 12 of them to grant wishes to terminally ill children, children with life changing conditions and young carers between 5-18. It will take them 6-7 days to summit any our biggest challenge will be the altitude.
Their main request has been for a machine called an eye gaze for a little girl called Neve. She is 12 and completely non verbal and has many neurological problems. She’s had a go of the eye gaze in Great Ormand street and told her mum she loved her for the first time ever. They are going to get her one for at home as it will change hers and her family’s lives.
The full story behind the charity is in the link.
