Unfortunately the installation team for our new bike shed was not able to add the roof. They are waiting for it to be delivered separately and it could be another 3-4 weeks. This gives the shed the appearance of a climbing frame. The children are not to use it as a climbing frame as it is not safe. During the day this is not a problem. However the pupils have been climbing on it in the morning before school. This could result in a nasty accident as there is no soft play surface… only concrete underneath.
We are not able to be responsible for the children until 8.30am – unless they have come into Breakfast Club. Before they have crossed the threshold in the morning, your children are your responsibility and I would expect you to ensure they are waiting in a safe manner. Thank you.
Parking on white zig zags:
I would ask all parents – although I know this refers to a minority – to be considerate of others when dropping off in the morning. Some parents/carers are still pulling up on the zig zag lines by the crossing to drop children off. This morning there were at least two incidents of this.
It causes an obstruction which means the lollipop lady and the pedestrians on the crossing cannot see clearly if other traffic is coming.
Oncoming cars are not able to see the crossing clearly
Children are not being dropped off in a calm way, they are literally thrown out of the car
It is illegal and results in a fine and penalty points
The vast majority of our parents are considerate of others when dropping their children off. Please ensure that you do not park on the white zig zag lines. Thank you.
