Weekly Newsletter - Friday 22nd March, 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

There are only 4 weeks left of this academic year! And so much to do! As you will see from the diary information there are still lots of visits/experiences planned for the rest of the term- lots to look forward to!

Well Done
A huge congratulations to Mr Portway, Miss Evans and all of the pupils who took part in the Primary sports day at Drapers’ Academy on Monday. We are thrilled and extremely proud to announce that Broadford Primary were the overall winners and brought home the winners shield. It was a wonderful day enjoyed by all. Well done Team Broadford!

Good Luck
Let’s hope that the winning streak continues. On Friday 22nd June, staff members from Mead will be attending the prestigious TES awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. The school has been shortlisted so please keep your fingers tightly crossed for Mead Primary School. We will of course inform you, if we get good news. Good luck Team Mead.

Diary Dates
On Monday 25th June in the morning year 1 are going to Lidl to buy ingredients for the cakes they are going to make and enjoy at their tea parties.
On Tuesday 26th Year 6 are going to the Junior Citizenship event which supports their transition to secondary school. We are welcoming our new reception parents to school in the evening.
On Wednesday 27th the first group of year 1 pupils are welcoming their parents to school for their tea party. After school , it is the first of our school book fairs in the hall.
On Thursday 28th Reception pupils are going to visit Paradise Park and we hope they have a great day.
School is closed on Friday for an INSET day.

Book Fair
The Book Fair will be held after school on Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th and Monday 2nd. We will, if that's okay with clubs, be in the hall. Our volunteers will be hosting a summer holiday themed fair. All books are 3 for 2. National Book Tokens can be used.

LFPA
The LFPA will be holding a Summer Fete on Saturday 30th June  at Mead Primary School between 11 am - 4 pm. This will be a great day for the whole family. Bring your friends, families and neighbours along to join in the fun. If you are able to give up some time on the day or would like to run a stall at the fete, please see one of the LFPA volunteers. Many thanks.

Havering Catering Services
Week beginning Monday 26th June is week 1 on the Havering catering services menu. All meals are served with unlimited salad and vegetables and cost £2.20.
