English Pocket Opera Company (EPOC) visit Year 3 & 4
Selected children from Year 3 and 4 have been showcasing their rhythmic
talents this week with the English Pocket Opera Company. The children
have been creating African beats with a professional musician in
preparation for their performance at the Rose Theatre in June. In
addition to this, they have been learning a selection of songs
originating from Sweden, China, Australia and Great Britain as part of a
celebration to mark the Olympics coming to London later on this year.
They will have another session with the musician later on next term before they take to the stage along with six other schools from around the capital in a few months time. The children have thoroughly enjoyed their musical sessions, calling it "incredible" and "so much fun!"
