Cub Scout Winners!

We are delighted to hear that several of our pupils have managed to win the Maureen Preston Trophy. Holly, Jude, Nathan and Joe took part in an outdoor competition representing 3rd Harold Hill Cub Scouts.

In order to lift the shield the team had to demonstrate proficiency with knot tying (including clove hitch, reef knots and bowlines), first aid (CPR and the recovery position), map reading and using a compass.

The shield is to commemorate a Cub Scout leader who was very passionate about these outdoor skills and the Cub Scout movement. In fact it is the third time that the troop has won it: 2004, 2005 and 2014!

We are very proud to hear that our pupils can achieve in a range of disciplines and have managed to win such a prestigious competition... well done!
