Thames Chase Conservation Volunteers were in school this week to develop the nature trail and area. They have been busily planting a hedgerow around the fence. This will provide natural shelter for the nature garden, a habitat for animals and a screening for the ugly metal fence.
Another huge thank you to the volunteers who gave up their time to help develop our school grounds. As the ground was too soggy they have had to barrow the gargantuan pile of wood chip all the way to the back of the field. By the time they have finished over 600 plants will have been used to create the hedge.
It will take 3 years to begin to mature... so please be patient.
