Chow Mein Cookery Workshop Photos

Many thanks to the Love Food Hate Waste team, who ran another very successful cookery workshop just before the Easter holiday.

"I loved being able to book with my mum, it was so much fun!" Sophie - Year 2

Inspired by the sight of chefs on TV like Jamie Oliver, the pupils were able to lead the way: chopping, slicing and shredding, they quickly prepared the vegetables for the chow mein.

Without a doubt the skills the children - and their parents practiced - will come in useful at home.

"The noodles were delicious and tickled my throat on the way down" Kirsty - Year 3

Pupils from Year 1 right up to Year 6 were able to get involved. All the feedback was very positive; if we get the chance to host one of these events next term, we know the take up will once again be fantastic.
