Fact Hunters: Rats & Star Wars

This week we have had a tremendous number of interesting facts being shared by the children. Congratulations to the following children who have amazed us with their ability to hunt out interesting snippets of information:

Amandeep Ubhi
There is a huge Lego Star Wars structure in America… the massive replica took 32 master builders, five million LEGO bricks and over 17,000 hours to complete.

Ronnie Marshall
Maracanã, officially called Estádio Mário Filho, was built to serve as the flagship venue for the 1950 World Cup. It was meant to become the biggest football stadium in the world.

Mikkileigh Williamson
Amazingly a rat can tread water for three days and survive being flushed down the toilet!

Ja’shayla Cousins
The brain’s outer layer is called the cortex. All mammalian species have similar layering in the brain's outer layer — the cortex — but only larger mammals have a cortex that is folded
