Diary Dates

Monday starts with Year 6 at the Natural History & Science Museums.

On Wednesday we have the LAMDA (London Academy for Music & Dramatic Arts) exams for our KS2 pupils. We are also very excited to welcome Juliet Sargeant, who won a Gold Medal for her garden design at the Chelsea Flower Show - she will be talking to our Y6 pupils.

We are closed on Thursday 23rd for the EU Elections. However in the evening we will be at the Queen’s Theatre in Hornchurch for the KS2 Music Festival.

We are getting very excited about next Friday, as we have the TES Awards. Broadford has been shortlisted in 5 categories this year and we hope to bring back at least one award as recognition of the hard work everyone has put into the school. In order to get the staff to the event on time we will be closing the school at 1.30pm - so please be prompt to pick up. We apologise for any inconvenience, but last year the staff missed the first part of the awards evening due to traffic and the distance that has to be travelled.

Key Dates:
Thursday June 23rd - school closed for INSET
Friday June 24th - school closed at 1.30pm for TES Awards
Monday July 11th - KS1, Reception & Nursery Sports Day
Tuesday July 12th - KS2 Sports Day & Nursery Graduation
Wednesday July 13th - Go Bonkers Bouncy Castle Event (Attendance Reward) & final Nursery session
Thursday July 14th - Reception Graduation

TES Awards Reminder: School closes at 1.30pm
We will be closed from 1.30pm on Friday of this week so that our staff can make the journey up to Park Lane, London in time for the awards. The ceremony starts in the afternoon and we have staff shortlisted across five different categories. Thank you for all the support you have shown again over the last year, which has helped to ensure that we are still seen as one of the best primary schools in the whole country.

Sharing Assembly: Cherry 9.10am Wednesday 22nd June
We are delighted to welcome the parents of pupils in Cherry class for their Sharing Assembly. This will start at 9.10am.

Parent Council Update: Tuesday 28th June @9.10am
We have now met with the Borough regarding the demolition. As you can see they have not wasted any time in getting started. Now that we are aware of the details we’d like to fix a date for the next Parent Council meeting for Tuesday 28th June. It may seem late but we have been waiting to get confirmation of: Teaching School status, demolition, Federation and plans for rebuild. It will also be a chance to show you the new classrooms and listen to feedback that you may have that you wish to share with us.
