We’re In The Paper:

Make sure you get your copy of the Romford Recorder this week. Last week we had a visit from PC Hopkins – who gave a talk to the children on how to become a police officer. Did you know that there are 32,000 police officers in London alone?

This year we have been pursuing a new project to help bring learning to life for our children. When speaking to them it is clear they have a wide range of career aspirations. But many of them don’t know how to get those jobs, what qualifications they need and why their English and Maths skills are essential. Equally there are jobs out there they could do, but they don’t know they exist.

Miss Morris has been organizing trips and visits from different careers to help inspire the children and help them see the wider purpose in the learning they do at school. The feedback from the children has been extremely positive and we are looking forward to further visits over the next two terms.

Listen to what the children had to say after PC Hopkins visit...
