Royal Python Visits Broadford Reception

On Tuesday our Reception classes had a very unusual visitor... a Royal Python! Mrs Green bought in the pet, which is looked after by our very own Charlie. He was really pleased to be able to show us his special pet and explain how the snake has to be looked after.

Did you know that snakes are cold blooded? This means that they can't stay warm on their own; as a result Mrs Green had added a hot water bottle to his box. Despite the cold weather, the python stayed warm.

We would like to thank Mrs Green and Charlie for sharing their pet with us. All of the chuldren thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

"I was amazed at how smooth the skin was!" - William
