Wellgate Farm Visit EYFS

This week our children were delighted to have the chance to meet the animals from the Wellgate Community Farm. When they walked down to the field they were greeted with a cacophony of sounds: braying, quacking, and squawking!

Initially there was some excitement as the turkey managed to escape his pen and make a bid for freedom. Many of our pupils have never before had this chance to get so up close and personal to the animals.

Lily
'I loved stroking the rabbit, she was very soft.'

Bobby
'When I touched the duck he really quacked. It made me jump!'

Donna Marie
'The animals were very smelly. It must be stinky if you work on a farm.'

All of the pupils from KS1 & EYFS had a chance to come and see the farm animals. We will look forward to welcoming them back very soon.
