Bannockburn Primary Visit

We were delighted to be invited to spend some time with the pupils of Bannockburn Primary in Plumstead, Greenwich. Our schools have lots in common but also have some striking differences.

They have so many children. We only have two classes in a Year group but in Reception they have four... that's 120 children in just one year.

Every where we went there were stairs to climb. At our school it is all on one level, which makes it easy for parents, push chairs and Grandparents. My legs were sore at the end; but their room in the roof for drama was really cool.

Both our schools have displays of work around them. At Bannockburn I loved looking at their art displays, they were everywhere. One of the most impressive was the one featuring Roald Dahl's book 'The Giraffe, The Pelly & Me'.

To begin with the children had a drama session with the teacher from LAMDA. Mr Drakes and Miss Barron were so impressed that we have now organised this for Broadford children from September 2015. Following a playtime and cupcake the children then played the 24 game from the Count On Us Challenge.

It was great to make some new friends. I hope they come to see us at Broadford very soon!
