Charlotte's Karate Medal

Well done to Charlotte who bought in a magnificent gold medal this morning from her Karate competition.

"On Saturday my brother Harry and I woke up to go to a karate competition. We had to take our turn on the mat and perform some ground fighting, random attacks. While we completed these there were judges watching us. In the fights, one wore a red belt while the opponent would wear a white belt. At the end of the contest the judges held up either red or white cards to show who they thought had won."

Charlotte's club is near the Betty Whiting Centre and she practises there two times a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Charlotte has another grading coming in three weeks time and she hopes that she will go up to orange (with a green tag).

The part she enjoys the most... playing the games and the break falls!

Very well done on your achievement Charlotte, we are very proud of you!
