Diary Events

On Monday our Year 3&4 pupils will be having their Spanish Day. Jenny Leonard – an artist from Dulwich – is coming in to paint our Broadford Book Bench with some help from the Spinebreakers. In the afternoon some of the KS1 pupils are off to the library with Miss Sparkes. Tuesday sees Year 3 off on their Spiritual Walk around Harold Hill and Year 4 going to visit the Tate Modern. After school we have a Behaviour & Safety Committee meeting. On Wednesday we have the dance and choir sharing assembly, while on Thursday Cherry have their maths party. We are also due to take part in a Tag Rugby festival and have the first of our new enrichment sessions for More Able pupils.

Don’t forget that school is closed on Friday 13th for staff training. Pupils return to school on Monday 23rd February.

Sharing Assembly: Dance & Choir (Cheerleading after half term)
We look forward to the grand finale of the half term with our dancers and choir. They are due to perform for us on Wednesday morning at 9am.

School Closed: Friday 13th INSET
We will be closed on Friday 13th February so that staff can have training on the new Science scheme that we are going to bring in… Empiribox. This is an approach based very much on practical investigations, which we think will really help to inspire the children’s interest in Science. Pupils are due back at school on February 23rd.

Maths Parties: Cherry Thursday 12th February @ 9am
Please check the date list for your child’s Maths Party. We started these last term as we believe it is important for you to have a chance to come in and see the strategies we use to help your child progress with maths. The parties are for half an hour – normally on a Friday morning – and you get to experience Rock Star Times Tables as well as play some maths games. We look forward to seeing you there.
