Havering Safer Neighbourhood Board is funded by the Mayor of London; it is independent of Havering Council and the Met Police. It aims to hold the Borough Police Command Units to account, giving Havering residents and crime victims a greater voice in setting policing priorities
The conference is an opportunity for Havering residents to become more closely involved in problem solving and crime prevention, hear about the Board’s work and take part in an interactive theatre performance entitled “School for Scammers” which aims to raise awareness of how financial scammers can easily take advantage of unsuspecting members of the public.
There will also be talks from Trevor Meers, Chair of Havering Safer Neighbourhood Board, Jason Gwillim, the Borough Police Commander, and London Safer Neighbour Watch Team. There will be a chance to question all speakers.
An explanation of theSNB was also featured on page (23) of the winter edition of the Havering Living Magazine www.havering.gov.uk/living
The sessions will run from 10am-1pm and 7pm-9pm refreshments will be available at both sessions.
