Last week saw a flurry of sporting action. First the girls competed against Clockhouse Primary in a friendly match. The ladies are slowly becoming seasoned pros, having played three matches already this season. Mia Rose played well in goal, while Alysson and Hadoram chased the ball down. Unfortunately the girls were unable to get a result in what turned out to be a very close game.
Final score Clockhouse 3 - 0 Broadford
Tuesday saw the debut of our High Five Netball team - who played in a tournament at Sacred Heart. We are part of the Havering Sports Collective, and get to take part in these inter Borough competitions as a result. The boys and girls throughly enjoyed their afternoon. We managed to win one, draw won and lose one, which is very respectable. Both Elsaf and Matas managed to get on the score sheet, helping to ensure that Mrs Higginson's team competed well in their group.
In midweek the boys played against St Peters. For long periods in the match the team dominated possession and had several chances to score. Donovan was very unlucky not to find the net in the second half, while Myles was a constant threat down the right hand side. Tommy worked tirelessly in midfield to win the ball back, while Nicolas was a terrier. In fact we lost count of how many tackles he had made!
Final score Broadford 0 - 6 St Peters
