Olympic Heroes - Nadia Comaneci

In our assemblies this week we are looking at Olympic heroes.

The word 'perfect' is used far too easily. However there was one Olympian where that word became the only way to describe her performance. She wasn't the biggest, tallest, fastest or strongest athlete but she was the best in her field.

In 1976 Nadia Comaneci scored the first ever perfect 10 for her gymnastics routine. If the children log onto our MLE they can use the links to find out more about this incredible Olympian, who set new standards for performance under pressure.
