School Council Visit The Mayor

A delegation of our school's council had the honour of being invited to visit the Mayor last half term. Led by Mr Trezise, the children were able to explore the Mayor's parlour, try on some ceremonial clothes and ask the Mayor questions.

It was a great opportunity for the children to see how local government works and to ask some interesting questions. They wanted to know:

• How do you get chosen to be Mayor?
• How long will you be Mayor for?
• What do you have to do as Mayor?
• Who will be the next Mayor?
