Sports Update: Cricket Competition

Under a blazing sun, the Year 6 cricket team played 4 stunning matches at Rainham Cricket Club. Our team lead by Myles Agyeman, fought valiantly against Brady Primary School and we were victorious, winning by 21 runs! The team then faced Newtons Primary. Their fast bowling proved too much and we were defeated. Undeterred and determined, the team then faced Pyrgo Primary. It was the most exciting match of the day with each team neck and next until the last over. It was a gripping end, but sadly their fast bowl smashed our wicket. We lost by 6 runs. The Broadford team then replayed Brady to decide 3rd and 4th position. In a tense match, that Broadford dominated with their tremendous batting skills, we won by 24 runs!
