Primary School Children Must Be Active!

A recent report on the BBC website has highlighted the need for pupils to get more exercise at Primary school.

However at Broadford we feel that we do make sports a priority. We pay for football coaches to come in and train our Year 5/6 football team every week - girls and boys! Our extra curricular clubs include rounders, football, hockey, tennis and karate.

In the Autumn term of next year we will be having a fitness coach in to KS2 to support the teachers in their delivery of circuit training for the Year 3-6. Our Year 4, 5 & 6 children go swimming regularly.

What we need from the parents and pupils is to have PE kit available and in school. Plimsolls are ideal for indoor work, predominantly white or black trainers for outdoor lessons.  They should have navy shorts and a plain white t-shirt. If they do not have the kit it can make it difficult for them to enjoy the sessions.

Please see the office if you are struggling to get hold of the right kit.
