On Friday 6th July we sent a crack team of athletes to Hornchurch Stadium to compete in the Harold Hill Olympics. Four boys and four girls from each year group (Years 2-6) competed in five events: a sprint, a relay, two jumps and a throw.
Grimacing with the effort, our pupils did everything they could do reach gold. Of course the competition from St Ursula's, Brookside, Pyrgo, Hilldene, Mead and Dame Tipping was intense.
The event was such a success that the organisers - Drapers Academy - are prepared to make it a yearly occurence. Thank you to them for setting the event up and providing all the staffing for it.
