Sports Day Cancelled: Reception, KS1 & KS2 BUT Nursery is still on!

Due to the persistent rain today it is now prudent to cancel sports day for tomorrow. The children have been informed, and the event will be run in September for parents to come and watch. I am terribly sorry that we have had to do this but the weather is truly out of character for this time of year.

However Nursery sports day is still going ahead. Their event is much smaller and was always designed to be done on the playground. The events they are competing in do not involve activities which are likely to cause injury on the harder surface. Therefore we will hold the event for them, which means that in the Autumn term, the new Reception classes will not need to have an event.

As the Year 6 pupils are going to miss out - we shall hold a sports event for them indoors - but it will not be open for parents to come and watch. It certainly won't take place until the Opera is finished.

Lets just hope for a dry September!
