KS1 Board Games With Age Concern

Pupils from Year 2 paid a visit to Age Concern to play some board games with the pensioners. It was a great opportunity for the children to develop their card skills and strategies. The game of Connect 4 became very competitive!

"It was amazing. Everyone wanted to play with us. I had a game of snap and challenged one of the pensioners, then they played my at Boggle! I can't wait to come back." Finley Livingstone - aged 7

Broadford pupils often go out into the community for a range of activities: choir performances, helping at community events and to play games.

"Our volunteering programme for Broadford, Team Broadford, makes it quick and easy for pupils to give their time, find volunteer opportunities and do great things for their school and local community. It has already been a great success in mobilising the community spirit and enthusiasm of our pupils to make a difference. We benefit from so many volunteers: parents reading, Thames Chase Conservation and parents who help with trips. It is great to be able to give something back." Malcolm Drakes - Headteacher
