Spinebreakers

Our latest batch of Spinebreakers received their badges in assembly this week. Miss Sparkes - our Librarian - looks out for those children who would be good members of the team. She asks some simple questions:

1. How regularly do they loan and return books?
2. Did they complete any of the library challenges or activities?
3. Have they contributed any YouTube or Audioboo reviews?
4. Are they able to talk confidently about the books they have read?

If the answers to the above questions are YES, then they are a candidate to become a Spinebreaker. They have a very important role:

• Reviewing new books to the library
• Visiting Waterstones to choose new books
• Uploading reviews to YouTube and Audioboo
• Taking a trip to London: visit the British Library, hunt down the Paddington Bears
• Be a reading buddy to a child/group in EYFS
• Promote reading and the library activities to the class

If you think you have what it takes to be in the next selection, see Miss Sparkes as soon as possible!
